“Goldfish Flavoring” is not a conventional food flavoring for human consumption, but rather an attractant flavoring for ornamental fish/aquatic animals, used to increase the feed intake of goldfish, koi, and other carp species. It belongs to the category of feed flavorings.
Flavor Characteristics:
Based primarily on animal-derived substrates such as fish meal, shrimp paste, shellfish, and yeast hydrolysates, supplemented with synthetic attractants such as betaine and DMPT (dimethyl-β-propiothetin), it exhibits a complex “fishy-salty-sweet” aroma, which strongly stimulates the olfactory receptors of goldfish.
It is mostly a water-soluble liquid or spray-dried powder, light yellow to brownish-brown in appearance, easily soluble in water, and can also be adsorbed onto the surface of feed particles.
Food Additive Fish Flavour is used in Fish bait, fish food, fish seed pellets, fishing nest materials, etc

Main Uses:
Ornamental Fish Feed: Improves the feeding rate of goldfish, koi, crucian carp, etc., reduces feed waste, and improves feed conversion rate. Commonly used in floating/sinking pellets, flakes, and frozen insect substitutes.
Aquaculture Hatchery: Added to micro-pellet feed for goldfish and carp fry to shorten the acclimatization time and improve survival rate.
Fishing Bait: Used in combination with base bait and groundbait to enhance the “fish-attracting” effect. Commercially available fishing “goldfish flavoring” is mostly a complex fishy-flavored carrier, with a usage rate of 3–6%.
